EVOLUTION OF THE MASTERS
THE BIRTH OF THE ALPI MASTER

In the 2000s, students in the LEA International Business program at Rennes 2 University did not have access to the Master's level that exists today. They had to move to another city to pursue business studies specializing in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula.
It was between 2008 and 2009 that Ms Janie Larroquette, a specialist in Argentina, decided to create a course enabling LEA CI students from Rennes 2 to continue their studies and specialize in Latin America. This is how the ALPI Master was born. From the outset, this Master's program has had an international dimension, including a compulsory semester abroad
Once the project had been launched, Mr. Rodolphe Robin, then a doctoral student and professor at Rennes 2 University, took over the management of the ALPI Master's degree. Since then, the Master's program has gone from strength to strength, as have its student numbers. At its inception in 2010, the program welcomed 8 students in the second year of the Master's program (M2). Today, the maximum number of students is 26, and places are in high demand via the MonMaster platform.
The ALPI Master's program stands out for its versatility, offering students in-depth knowledge in several key areas of today's society.

EVOLUTION OF THE MASTERS
For those of you wondering, why do we have a web page? Let us tell you how it all began.

In the first year of the ALPI Master's program, we have a subject called “Project Management”. As the name suggests, this consists of carrying out a project to give us more practice in the world of business. During the course, students are divided into groups to choose their project: either the management of the ALPI Association, or the management of social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), or another project thought up by the students or proposed by an outside organization.
So, during the year 2023-2024, students Tom GAUTIER, Chloé MATTEZ, Calixta RICHARD and Bérénice ROUX thought of creating a new project involving the creation of a website to orient current and future ALPI Master students on the program. And that's how the site was created! But the work didn't stop there, as the following year students Adelis ALVAREZ, Enzo MAILLARD, Alejandra PADILLA DE ANDA, Jeanne ROSSELIN and Miguel SALCEDO modified the page to continue their work of enriching the site by creating new content.

The creation of a website for the Master LEA CI ALPI, a master's degree with very little presence in France and rather recent arrival at Rennes 2 University, not only gives it greater visibility, but also enables students and anyone else who's curious to find out more about the courses, students, projects, etc., to do so. More than a project, it's a communication platform by students for students!
Are you a foreign language student?
Or maybe just curious?
This website is for you.

You'll be able to find out about the Master's program, discover the M2 destinations, get in touch with former and current students, discover their career paths (internships, further studies, current profession...), and much more!
